gear Guide (things to think about)

Not all the items listed are essential needs this is just to better help you to be as ready as possible for your upcoming hunt. We can help and will lend you items you may not have. You will also be given a list via email as well as other things to help you with better preparation for your hunt after booking.

These items are for all seasons & hunters will be sent a narrowed more thorough list of items pertaining to the season in which they booked.


Needs & wants on the hunt


*Bow/crossbow arrows with broad heads on

*Backpack 

*Release/cocking device

*Rangefinder

*Water 

*Food/snacks

*Extra clothing 

          Sunglasses 

          Hat

          Gloves

          Extra Layer

          Balaclava etc.

*Thermacell (early season)

*Bow hanger & bag hook

*Binoculars

*Safety harness

*Grunt call (pre-rut-rut)

*Rattling antlers (rut)

*Scent control

*Estrus Potions (rut)

*Hot hand, body, & foot warmers 

*Bow Hoist

*Extra drink (coffee, soda, tea)

*Ear buds for music or hunting videos on stand




WORDROBE

Gear clothing Guide ( GC= Guides choice)

*Boots 

  • Snake boots (early season)
  • Frog legs or hip waiters (couple stands across the river, insulated for cold, non for early)
  • Insulated boots for cold (1200, 1600, Saskatuan Pac. your choice keep warm)

*Base Layers

  • Lightweight, heavyweight, & or heated. ( gc cabela's polar tec or primaloft heavy, stand hunter, & or sitka heavy)

*Mid-Layers

  • Stack base layers & or outer layer for walking in (gc cabelas berber fleece or wooltimate, sitka incinerator)

*Outer Layers

  • Super light weight for early season to get the breeze netting to keep the bugs out (Redhead EVO, treezyn)
  • Mid season cold ( gc cabelas berber fleece or wooltimate, sitka incinerator)
  • DEEP COLD /that pack in layer to keep you warm sitting in deep cold (gc Cabelas TO50 or stand hunter, sitka blizzard, heater body suit)

*Socks

  • Sweat wicking liner socks (early to late season)
  • Heated socks
  • Wool 

*Hands

  • Liner gloves (early to mid season)
  • Finger less fold over mitts or glomitts 
  • Hand warmer muff

*Head

  • Liner beanie, hat (early)
  • Bug net (early)
  • Balaclava
  • Neck gator
  • Wool beanie (deep cold)
